Let’s stop pretending this is normal. Let’s stop pretending “playing fair” will save us. Let’s stop pretending facts win arguments when the other side is at war with reality.
If Democrats want to beat Trump and the MAGA movement, they have to stop acting like they’re in a debate, and start acting like they’re in a fight for the survival of the Republic. Because they are.
1. Stop Worshipping CivilityTrump is not a politician. He’s a convicted felon who somehow became president, does whatever he wants, legal or not, and clearly wants to be a dictator. So why are Democrats still so worried about tone? This isn’t about being polite. It’s about telling the truth loudly enough that people can’t ignore it.
We’re not debating policy any longer. We’re stopping him from destroying the country.
MAGA messaging works because it’s simple, emotional, and repetitive. Democrats give you data. MAGA gives you dopamine. Start using language with bite:
- “Trump is a liar and a cheat and wants to rule over us like a king.”
- “He’s not strong. He’s scared—of the truth, of voters. That's why he wants to change history, change the rules, and control elections.”
- “This isn’t Left vs Right. This is Democracy vs Dictatorship.”
Pick your sound bites against Trump then hammer them home. Every day. Everywhere.
He’s not “President Trump.” He’s:
- A convicted felon
- A sexual abuser (per a court ruling)
- A wannabe dictator
- A man who sends troops to invade America cities
- A best friend of Jeffrey Epstein
He called Obama a terrorist and Hillary a murderer. Call Trump what he actually is.
MAGA loves fake culture fights—woke, pronouns, drag queens, books. Fine. Flip the script.
- “They’re banning books while your rent explodes.”
- “They’re policing pronouns while your kid hides during school shooting drills.”
- “They’re afraid of drag queens. We’re afraid of losing our freedom.”
Stop running. Punch back harder—with truth.
Democrats need to stop promoting candidates who look like they’re running a nonprofit. We need backbone, fire, and clarity. This isn’t the time for another “experienced manager.” It’s time for people who talk like they’ve actually read a history book past chapter one.
It's time for someone who knows what freedom really means and is willing to fight for it.
People don’t vote for “democratic norms.” They vote for themselves. Stop saying things like “We must protect institutions.”
Start saying:
- “Trump is making your rights vanish."
- "Trump is driving up costs on everything with no plan to lower them."
- "Trump is making sure your vote counts...the way he wants it to."
Make the stakes personal. Make the danger real. Because they are.
Trump doesn't care about being fair. He doesn't care about doing things legally. He just wants what he wants and doesn't care what he has to do to get it.
He has:
- Fired people who disagreed with him, including people who oversee the president's actions, as well as people he isn't legally allowed to fire
- Targeted people legally who have crossed him, weaponizing the government against them
- Pardoned allies, and people he thought were allies, whether he knew them or not, despite their crimes
- Forced changes in the law by pushing lawsuits against him up to the Supreme Court where the people he appointed to it could vote in his favor
- Settled lawsuits he brought against the government with himself, in his favor, of course
Stop trying to win arguments. Start fighting for the country. This isn’t about matching MAGA’s cruelty. It’s about matching their urgency. They want power. Democrats want peace. But peace is not possible when the other side is already at war with you. It’s time to fight. Loudly. Clearly. Repeatedly.
God bless America and protect it from Trump.
