Property Matters More Than Children

Thoughts and Prayers

I saw a social media post recently that said: "A school gets shot up, and they get our thoughts and prayers. A Tesla dealership gets attacked and it's an act of domestic terrorism. This country is broken." If that post doesn't stop your heart, nothing can.

What does this tell you?

  • It tells you property matters more than children.
  • It tells you violence is only taken seriously when it threatens wealth, not lives.
  • It tells you our outrage isn’t based on what's right or wrong—but on what's profitable.

We’ve had more school shootings than we can count. We’ve had teachers and kids die in classrooms, hiding under desks. And politicians still do nothing except offer condolences and photo ops.

But when a window gets smashed at a luxury car dealership? The headlines scream "Terror!" The police swarm in riot gear. The statements come fast and furious. The justice system suddenly remembers how to act quickly. This country doesn’t protect people. It protects profit. If a child’s death is less important than a broken showroom window, what happened to American values? What has happened to America?
